Camping... 2

So we went camping again. This time with Dallins family. It was way fun! We went up to Randolph - well really it was Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It was so pretty up there! My boss told me that Randolph was the armpit of Utah (I can kind of see his point haha) but the Park was beautiful! A quick side note - Randolph is where my Grampa Rex is from and on Sunday when we got back we had a Rex Fam Reunion and my Grampa's youngest sister got up and spoke about him and the house they grew up in in Randolph. I didn't get to see the house but i'm pretty sure we drove right past it without even knowing. Ha.

So when we got up there on wed. we set up shop and got everything ready. After that it was time for some riding! It hadn't rained up there in awhile so everything was sooooo dusty! It was like dirty baby powder. It got everywhere!!!

It was still a blast! Shad didn't really get dirty so i don't have a good grimy face to show you. We also went shooting but mostly we just rode on the 4-wheelers and got dirty. We had some fun playing in the campfire. Haha. I'm always playing with my camera and figuring out what setting would be best. So I seriously took like 50 pictures of the fire (some of those were because i had it on multiple). Haha. But some of them turned out pretty cool.

Haha this is my Gangsta Husband standing next to my Cowboy Husband.

Quick recap: We went to Gators to eat one night, had a pants burning party, watched my little dog tease Shad's Big dog (Haha that was soooo cute), learned a lot of new games, shot probably over 1000 shells, drove like 50 miles all together on all of our rides, got to know each other better, ate very well (too well and too much), shot a tree down and had a blast!

Thank you Cathy & Joel!

Not to put a damper on things...

I don't know if you've seen this in the news but the Pugmires are Dallin's Grandparents. It's interesting how often something like this happens when something really good is about to happen in my family. We are still planning on the wedding on saturday to give everyone some happiness.

Two die in St. George wreck
May 18th, 2008 @ 10:45am
ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Two people were killed and a third person severely injured in a head-on collision in southern Utah.
St. George police Sgt. Craig Harding says neither driver appeared to brake during the 7:15 p.m. accident Saturday. Police say a truck driven by 24-year-old Kevin Tobias Barrick was headed south when it drifted across the center line of a city street and collided head-on with a car driven by Afton Pugmire.
Harding says Barrick was pronounced dead at the scene. Pugmire died later at Dixie Regional Medical Center. Her husband, Deward Pugmire, suffered multiple bone fractures on his left side and was hospitalized.
Police say Barrick may have tried to avoid the collision. An investigation is ongoing.

Afton was so sweet and so giving. She treated me just like one of her grandchildren. She made the best bread and was an excellent clothes washer and ironer. She will be missed.

Here is the updated report.

Two Fatalities in Local Head On Collision
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
Two people were killed and a third person severely injured in a head-on collision on 3050 East in St. George on Saturday evening..

Police are now saying that was at fault as he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. Police believe that Barrick was impaired by Dust Off, an aerosol spray used to clean computers. But the propellants in the spray are intoxicating and can be deadly. Police are not sure if Barrick passed out, or was already dead, when crossed into oncoming traffic.
