Italian Crockpot Chicken

It was the Relief Society birthday party earlier this month and this is what they served. I missed it but I guess so many people asked for the recipe, they made a bunch of copies and passed them out at church. It's super easy and anything that can go straight from the freezer/can into the oven/crockpot is my kind of meal.

Prep Time: 5 min.
Cook Time: 4-8 hours

4 chicken breasts
1 - 8oz. package of cream cheese (softened)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 dry package of Italian Salad dressing

-Put Chicken in crockpot.
-Cream together other 3 ingredients and pour over chicken.
-Cook on high 4 hours or low for 6-8.
-The last 1/2 hour shred chicken or cut up into bite size pieces.
-Serve over rice, penne or mashed potatoes.

New Camera!

I finally got my Dream Camera! A Nikon D90!

There was a good deal at Costco for a Kit with 2 lenses, a bag and a memory card. This has been on my Vision Board forever and it's the first thing I have accomplished from it. I have lots to learn but I'm having fun doing it.

Here are some fave's from my first "Photo Shoots" (and I use that term loosely). I'm at the point where I just take a whole bunch of pictures (500) and hope for the best. Like I said, I have lots to learn. Photoshop is my best friend right now.

Pillows!

I got new couches and they are really dark so in order to lighten the room up, I decided I would just get new pillows. Here is the before with the old couches.

I love the gray pillows and the sofa table with the old couches (shown above), but with the new ones, it just was too dark and didn't go. We got the new couches for a good deal and these old ones are small and were getting kinda uncomfortable.

I saw these pillows from Target on a blog and fell in love but not with the price.

I looked around at the Wal-Mart, Tai Pan and TJ Maxx but a) they didn't have the right yellow or b) was over $20. Sooo, I was over at my cousin Chantelle's and she had just made these pillows for her bed and couch. I was like - Hey, those are so cute! Why don't you help me make some. We went to Joanns Fabric and bought everything we needed for oh about $12 bucks total. For 3 pillows!
Ta-Da!

To lighten it up even more, I got my piano from my parents house :) Bonus! I have even practiced 4-5 times since I got it. I def need some lessons though. Ha.

You might be a redneck if.........

You combine 4+ vehicles to make 1. Haha.

Yes - this is street legal!

If you think about it, it's pretty clever. It get's about 3X better fuel mileage as a regular semi, it saves you from getting a motel, you don't need a CDL License & you can make $$ hauling stuff.

"Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today."

Phil Says Six More Weeks!

Phil's official forecast as read February 2nd, 2009 at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob:

Hear Ye Hear Ye Hear Ye

On Gobbler's Knob on this glorious Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2010, Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators awoke to the call of President Bill Deeley and greeted his handlers, John Griffiths and Ben Hughes.

After casting a joyful eye towards thousands of his faithful followers, Phil proclaimed, "If you want to know next, you must read my text. As the sky shines bright above me, my shadow I see beside me. So six more weeks of winter it will be."

I know what I'm doing tonight! Such a classic.

Holidays 09/10...

Christmas...
So none of the pictures of my tree turned out. Not that it was anything special. It was very monochromatic. But sadly it is still up so I might take some more just for scrapbooking sake. I made these for friends gifts but didn't get around to giving them out so I took them to my parents Christmas eve. I got the idea from Bakerella. I won't show you how they are supposed to look but here's the one's I did.
New Years...
The past couple of years some of my family has been going to my Aunt & Uncles B&B - Slot Canyons Inn in for New Years Eve. This year, we finally were able to get time off and go up there for a few days. It was heavenly. We had Pizza's from their Brick Oven and OMG was it good. We all made our own and it's going to be hard to eat anything else now.

This was a particularly nice feature to our room. It helped dry out all our clothes in between play time.

During the days we mostly went sledding. Mike brought up a water tube that popped the first time we went down a hill. It was still slippery so we just tied a rope up to the truck and pulled em. Who needs a hill. We also dug around their barn and found an animal food tray thing. Most of the pictures of me sledding are on Mike and Jen's camera.

This is fun!
Wow we're going pretty fast.
I don't think I can hold on any longer.
Hey maybe you should let go.
Uh Mike, Let go!
Finally, Gosh!
The deflated tube.

That wasn't snow, that was a ball of ice.
